My grandfather used to say that "you have to have a passion in life." I believe that a passion for what you are doing is the most important driver of quality work. When you genuinely, truly, undeniably love what you are working on you reach closer to your true potential than at any other time. It is these times that you dig in to find a good solution, you don't take "no" or "it can't be done" for an answer, you stay up until the early hours of the morning because you can't get enough, you work without getting paid, and you are happier. We all know what it is like to work at something that you don't have the passion for. It is passion that keeps us going day in and day out.
Over the years I have come to learn just how powerful the statement is that my grandfather used to say.

The Company
STYP, LLC specializes in product development of industrial and commercial products. This often requires mechanical design, electrical design, stress and motion analysis, prototyping, vendor sourcing, and manufacturing commercialization. We are experienced in Design for Manufacturing and component sourcing and have a wide network of manufacturers and fabricators that we work closely with to build prototypes and to develop the manufacturing processes for the products that we work with you to design. We know that the manufacturing process is important and it must always be considered during the design process...not after.
A typical development process at STYP consists of the following:
Concept/Conceptual Design
Research
Scientific Study/Experiment
Design and Engineering
Sourcing/Specifying Components
Manufacturing/Prototyping
Assembling
Validating and Testing
History
STYP, LLC was started in 2016 by Tommy Stypula, a certified Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the mechanical engineering discipline. Tommy felt that there was a need for product development services locally in the Sheridan, WY area as well as the surrounding region. Ever since then STYP has been helping companies and individuals turn their ideas into reality, and now STYP works with companies and individuals throughout Wyoming and the country.
Prior to STYP, Tommy attended Montana State University in Bozeman, MT where he studied mechanical engineering and then worked in product development and manufacturing, specializing in metal fabricated and machined products, as well as design for manufacturing. He also worked in manufacturing process development, engine controls and exhaust design, catalyst and air quality engineering, and tooling design. He has extensive experience in 3D CAD modeling using SolidWorks design software, including parts, assemblies, 2D drafting, finite element analysis (FEA), and photorealistic renderings. He also has over 12 years working in offroad vehicle design and fabrication, and experience performing a variety of manufacturing processes including welding, machining (manual and CNC), braking, rolling, plasma cutting, laser cutting, and tube bending.
Objective
At STYP our goal is to provide value to you and your company by partnering with you to assist with your product development efforts. We believe that respect, honesty, and a passion for what we do are the traits that enable us to help you reach your goals.
